Rock en español es la música rock compuesta e interpretada en castellano. A diferencia del rock en inglés, el rock en español ha logrado tener éxito mundial en pocas ocasiones, y muchas veces ni siquiera entre países de habla hispana. Por eso el rock en castellano se ha desarrollado de manera heterogénea en las distintas naciones hispanohablantes; quedando así la música de muchas bandas para uso casi exclusivamente nacional hasta la llegada de la globalización de contenidos multimedia acentuada por la generalización de internet y desarrollada especialmente en el siglo XXI.
Sir Michael Phillip Jagger, más conocido como Mick Jagger, nació el 26 de julio de 1943 en Dartford (condado de Kent, Inglaterra). Es un músico de rock, actor, compositor, productor musical y de cine y empresario, más conocido por ser co-fundador del grupo de rock The Rolling Stones.
A mediados de los años 1980, Jagger decidió apartarse del grupo y empezar una carrera solista, que con los años pasaría a compartir con la de los Stones. En 1984 había participado como artista invitado en un tema de Michael Jackson: State of Shock. En 1985 actúa al margen del grupo en Live Aid, junto a Tina Turner, y participa en un vídeo con David Bowie (Dancing In The Street). Ese mismo año edita su primer disco, She's The Boss. Su segundo álbum llegó en 1987: Primitive Cool. El año siguiente presentó a los Beatles en su ingreso en el Salón de la Fama del Rock and Roll y actuó junto a Bruce Springsteen y George Harrison. En la década de los noventa se puso a la venta el tercer disco de su carrera en solitario, Wandering Spirit (1993). En el año 2001 editó el cuarto disco, Goddess In The Doorway.
