La música hindú fue creada por influencia del hinduismo. Incluye a la música clásica india, Kirtan, y otros géneros musicales. Las ragas son una forma común de música hindú en la música clásica india. El cántico hindú más común es el “Om Jai Jagdish Hare”. Entre los dioses a los que suelen dedicarse los cantos son Vishnu y sus encarnaciones, Shiva y las Diosas Parvati, Shakti, Vaishnodevi, etc.
Black es una banda musical llevada por el cantautor Colin Vearncombe (nacido el 26 de mayo, 1962, en Liverpool, Reino Unido). De 1981 a 1988, la banda también incluía a Dave Dix. El primer lanzamiento de Black fue Human Features con la discográfica Rox Records en 1981. Le siguió otro disco en 1982 con More Than The Sun (Wonderful World Of Records), después del cual Black firmó con la discográfica WEA Records.
Su primer álbum con esta discográfica fue Hey Presto (1984), que lo catapultó al éxito fuera del Reino Unido: el video clip de esta canción se emitió en el canal por satélite Music Box, y el single se distribuyó en Australia. El segundo single con WEA Records fue una re-edición de More Than The Sun. Después de esto, la discográfica abandonó su proyecto.
