La música pop (del inglés pop music, contracción de popular music) es un género de música popular que tuvo su origen a finales de los años 1950 como una derivación del tradicional pop, en combinación con otros géneros musicales que estaban de moda en aquel momento. Los términos música pop y música popular se usan a menudo de manera indistinta, aunque el segundo tiene un sentido más amplio al dar cabida a otros géneros distintos del pop que se consideren populares.
Christopher Maurice Brown (5 de mayo de 1989, Tappahanock, Virginia, Estados Unidos), más conocido como Chris Brown, es un bailarín y cantante de R&B. Debutó con su primer sencillo llamado "Run It! ", que fue uno de los grandes éxitos del 2005, producido por Scott Storch y en colaboración con Juelz Santana . Con este single, Brown se convirtió en el artista masculino más joven en colocar una canción en lo más alto de Billboard Hot 100. También fue seleccionado para disputar el NBA's Celebrity Game junto con estrellas como Brandon Routh y Nelly en el NBA All-Star Weekend de Houston de 2006. En el año 2007, celebró sus 18 años; hizo una sensacional fiesta, que fue transmitida en My Super Sweet 16, programa emitido por MTV en el que se muestra la organización, el estrés para poder organizarla y la fiesta misma de adolescentes millonarios.
Su segundo álbum, Exclusive, fue lanzado en todo el mundo en noviembre de 2007. Dando lugar a dos exitosos singles "Kiss Kiss " con T-Pain y "With You ", que alcanzaron el número uno en el Billboard Hot 100. También lanzó una Edicion Deluxe, titulada "The Forever Edition". El primer sencillo del mismo, "Forever ", fue lanzado en mayo de 2008 y llegó al número dos del Billboard Hot 100. Exclusive ha sido multiplatino mundialmente.
