Pop rock es un genero musical que combina melodías y letras típicas de la música pop con elementos propios del rock como son una mayor presencia de guitarras eléctricas o un ritmo más fuerte. Existen diversas definiciones para el término que van desde una forma más lenta y suave de rock hasta un subgénero dentro del pop.
Gloria María Milagrosa Fajardo García conocida profesionalmente como Gloria Estefan (La Habana, Cuba, 1 de septiembre de 1957) es una cantante, compositora y actriz cubano-estadounidense. Es la artista latinoamericana que más discos ha vendido y una de las 20 que más ha vendido en la historia de la música mundial: 90.000.000 de discos en total hasta la fecha. Conocida comúnmente como la "Madre del Pop Latino" por ser la cantante latinoamericana que ha puesto de moda el género latin pop universalmente.
Gloria María Fajardo García apenas contaba un año de edad, cuando su familia tuvo que abandonar la isla por razones políticas, residenciándose en Miami. Su padre, en ese tiempo era guardaespaldas del dictador cubano Fulgencio Batista.
